Getting a start ahead of the other regional groups, Paul Stillman, who kindly offered to coordinate the next activities of the South-East Group, has announced the first event: A World of Wildlife at the Arundel Wetlands Centre in West Sussex, taking place on Wednesday, 11th March 2020.
This is an all-day event in a 65-acre reserve of lakes, reed beds and channels home to a wide variety of British water birds, as well as a large collection of international wildfowl including rare and endangered species. Close to the visitor centre are open pools full of captive and wild birds, with paths and boardwalks leading to several hides overlooking lakes, open water, reeds and woodland. A dream of opportunity for the bird and wildlife photographer as winter is usually a good time to see these birds. The day also includes a one-hour guided walk of the main pathways and an explanation of the work of the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust.
Nikon Owner Regional Groups are coordinated by Nikon Owner subscribers on a voluntary basis and are open to other Nikon Owner subscribers and their partners and families.
