Winners Revealed

Nikon is proud to announce the winners of the 2018 UK All Party Parliamentary Photography Exhibition.
The five winning images, unveiled during a ceremony at the opening of the exhibition yesterday, were announced as Baroness Floella Benjamin, Lord Birt, Lord Crathorne, Sir David Amess MP and Lord Greenway, with Lord Greenway proclaimed as the overall winner in this year’s competition.
The competition is open to serving MPs and members of the House of Lords and aims to celebrate the skilled photographic talent within the Palaces of Westminster. Providing an opportunity to showcase their creative imaging talents, the competition has produced a collection of stunning, thought-provoking and insightful images.
A judging panel, chaired by the renowned Press Photographer, Professor Dr Michael Maloney OBE, together with the Editor of Amateur Photographer Magazine, Nigel Atherton, and John Walshe, Vice President of Nikon Europe, scrutinised all submissions to identify this year’s winning entrants.
Commenting on the competition John Walshe said, “Nikon is delighted to have supported the 2018 All Party Parliamentary Photography competition and exhibition. I think all of us know the incredible abilities of everyone within Westminster to be able to present and interpret events from a different perspective and it’s great to see that they have been able to apply the same skills within a photographic context to produce some incredibly creative images.”
The winning and shortlisted images will be on display at the Houses of Parliament from Monday 2nd July. Each winning entry will receive £100 as a donation from Nikon to a charity of their choice.
