London, UK, 24 Aug 2011 – Nikon today announces the addition of two new ‘super-zoom’ compact cameras to the COOLPIX Style (S) range. The duo consists of the colourful COOLPIX S6200, an ultra-compact camera with 16 megapixels and a 10x wide-angle NIKKOR zoom lens, and the powerful and precise COOLPIX S8200 with a 16 megapixel CMOS sensor and 14x wide-angle NIKKOR zoom lens.

Strikingly stylish and extremely portable, the COOLPIX S6200 packs an impressive 10x wide-angle NIKKOR zoom lens into a remarkably compact, vibrantly coloured body. A 16 megapixel image sensor lets you capture outstandingly detailed images, crop creatively and produce stunningly sharp poster-size enlargements. Automatic anti-blur functions ensure consistently great results and Night landscape mode delivers high quality images in low light.
Making it easy to get creative, the COOLPIX S6200 can shoot still images or movies using a special effect, and can apply a range of filter effects to still images after they have been taken. Effects to shoot with include Soft Focus and Nostalgic Sepia, and the in-camera filter effects to enhance images include Cross Screen, Fisheye and Miniature Effect.
To deliver quality movies, the COOLPIX S6200 offers HD (720p) movie recording with stereo sound, four advanced blur-reduction functions, and high ISO (up to 3200) light sensitivity to reduce the risk of blurred images with fast-moving subjects or in low-light.

Combined with fast auto focus, incredibly quick start up speeds and fast continuous shooting speeds, this camera makes sure you never miss the action. Completing the package, Full HD (1080p) movie-recording with stereo sound offers more versatility than ever before.
