London, UK, 24 Aug 2011 – Nikon today strengthens its COOLPIX Style range with two new models that raise the bar for style and function in a compact body. The first addition is the COOLPIX S1200pj, the latest compact camera to feature an integrated projector. Successor to the COOLPIX S1100pj, the COOLPIX S1200pj offers projection that is 20 lumens brighter as well as instant connection with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch for even more options for sharing movies and images. The second addition is the COOLPIX S100 – a stylish multi touch-control camera with 16 megapixels, a 3.5” OLED touch screen and 3D image shooting capability.

Never again do you need to crowd round a small screen to view photos, movies or presentations. Offering even more ways to connect to your content, the COOLPIX S1200pj with integrated projector makes it easy to shoot and share. Successor to the COOLPIX S1100pj, the S1200pj is now compatible with iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, as well as linking to a Mac or PC, so you can instantly beam images and movies onto any flat surface. At 20 lumens with DLP technology, the projection is brighter than ever, and can create projected images from 26 to 152 cm (5 to 60 inches) in size. Luminous controls on the camera and the optional remote control also make for easy operation in dark situations.
The COOLPIX S1200pj ensures outstanding pictures and movies with pin-sharp resolution and precision, thanks to a 14 megapixel CCD image sensor, HD (720p) movie recording with stereo sound, a NIKKOR wide-angle 5x zoom lens and four functions to automatically counter blurring.
For those who want to get creative, the COOLPIX S1200pj can either shoot still images or movies using a special effect or can apply a range of filter effects to still images after they have been taken. Effects to shoot with include Soft Focus and Nostalgic Sepia, and the in-camera filter effects to enhance images include Cross Screen, Fisheye and Miniature Effect.

The COOLPIX S100 is the stylish choice for those who want a camera that is easy to use and ideal to carry round. Offering the perfect blend of sophisticated style and high-tech brilliance, this sleek model comes in distinctive pink, red or black, and has an 18.1mm wide body that sits comfortably in the hand and slips easily into a pocket or bag. The multi-touch control panel instantly senses the touch of your fingers for incredibly intuitive operation on a large 8.7 cm (3.5-inch) OLED screen.
For those who want to have fun with their photography, the COOLPIX S100 comes equipped with a new 3D shooting capability. This dedicated 3D shooting mode combines two images taken from different positions to create a 3D image that can be played back on 3D-capable TVs and computers. Like all COOLPIX models, superb performance in any light is assured, as the S100 boasts a highly sensitive 16 megapixel CMOS sensor. It also offers Full HD (1080p) movie recording with stereo sound, NIKKOR wide-angle 5x zoom lens, anti-blur technology and dedicated light modes such as Night Portrait.
The Easy Panorama feature extends your view even further by offering 360° and 180° photos. While you pan vertically or horizontally across a scene, the camera’s CMOS sensor takes a rapid burst of frames which are merged to instantly create a beautiful panorama.

ViewNX 2 is an all-in-one software package that enables users to quickly and easily import, browse, edit and share still images and movies. Building upon the highly successful ViewNX software, ViewNX 2 is a user-friendly suite that offers a huge range of features, going well beyond those supplied as part of a PC’s operating system. Newly-incorporated advanced movie-editing functions have been taken directly from Nikon’s award-winning DSLR range, enabling users to create stunning movie footage. ViewNX 2 is included with all Nikon digital cameras and is also available as a free download.
