Nikon Speedlights – An Introduction

An Online Webinar
Presented by Simon Stafford

Tuesday, 9th February 2021
7:00 – 9:00 pm (GMT)

Continuing his highly successful series of photographic seminars and workshops presented in association with Nikon Owner Magazine and Grays of Westminster, Simon has prepared this on-line webinar to help you make the most of the Nikon Speedlight system, irrespective of your level of photographic knowledge and experience.

The level of flexibility and control offered by Nikon Speedlight flash units provide a photographer with a huge range of creative possibilities for both on-camera, and off-camera flash. During this event Simon will provide an introduction to flash photography, with the aim of helping you work with a single Speedlight, encompassing the SB-500, SB-700, SB-900, SB-910 and SB-5000 models, to best effect.

He will explain the basic principles of flash photography, provide an in-depth description of the key Nikon flash modes and flash synchronisation modes, together with a discussion as to when, why and how they should be applied. He will also look at camera-based features, such as Auto FP High–Speed sync mode and Flash Value Lock, together with an overview of the Nikon Creative Lighting System’s optical remote control for a single off-camera Speedlight.

Simon will share his extensive knowledge of the Nikon Speedlight system, together with his more than 40 years of photographic experience, to enable you to use these flash units with confidence to achieve high quality, professional looking photographs consistently.
