Grays of Westminster & Nikon Owner are pleased to invite you to this special Christmas event, ‘A Photographer’s Life: Behind the Lens with Joe McNally’. The event will be held on Saturday, 4th December 2021 as an online webinar.
Joe McNally became a professional photographer in 1978. Starting with newspapers, and moving onto magazines and commercial work, he has been thrown the kitchen sink of assignments, from news and sports to big production jobs, celebrity portrait sessions done in less than five minutes and assignments from the National Geographic that went on for a year. Known as a candid and humorous presenter, Joe will show work and discuss the ups and downs, the successes and the failures to be had when encountering the world with a camera in hand. He has been to approximately 70 countries and remains just as anxious and excited about his next job as he was when he first started working. He will offer notions about longevity, durability and versatility in this industry, and the stubbornness you have to demonstrate to get projects done in the face of obstacles and naysayers. In addition to showing work, Joe will engage in a lively Q&A, answering questions about technique, approach, the photo business and simply staying alive and engaged as a photographer.
Special Christmas Raffle:
First prize: Signed, limited edition copy of The Legendary Photography of Tony Hurst, celebrating Nikon’s 100th Anniversary, worth £125.00
Two runner-up prizes: a choice between a Nikon gilet, a t-shirt or a polo shirt.
