Following Michael Eleftheriades’ very popular Panoramic Seminars during 2010-2012, Grays of Westminster is pleased to announce the next Panoramic Photography Seminar, to be held on Sunday, February 10th, 2013.

Panoramic Photography is one of the most complex photographic tasks, yet with the advent of digital it is attracting more and more interest. Its popularity is driving the development of new techniques and advanced software which have considerably simplified the task. Michael Eleftheriades will be discussing these new workflows, from choosing the right equipment, to acquisition, post-production, and the rendering of panoramic images and virtual reality scenes.

He will also be looking at how panoramic techniques can help in dealing with common photographic problems, such as shooting in tight spaces, shooting multiple shots without a wide-angle lens or shooting wide vistas or cityscapes without specialised equipment.

While the focus will be on capturing the highest quality images, Michael will also show how panoramas can be acquired with the ever more popular compact system cameras as well as mobile phones.

By the end of the seminar, attendees will have an understanding of the principles of panoramic photography, be able to choose the right equipment for acquisition, the best software for production and be aware of the options for final output, including printing or web delivery.

Attendees who register for this event will be provided with speaker’s notes and a panoramic fact-sheet.

A number of prizes will be offered to attendees, the top prize of which will be a 360Precision Atome panoramic head worth over £200. The Atome is a lightweight compact head which is ideally suited to hiking, travel or back-packing. The prize draw will take place at the end of the seminar.

This professional panoramic seminar will be held in central London, at Fitzroy House, 37 Fitzroy Street, London W1T 6DX, and will take place from 2.00 p.m. until 5.30 p.m. with an additional 30 minutes for Q&A. It includes mid-afternoon tea and biscuits.
