Mastering Black & White

From the earliest photographs to Henri Cartier Bresson’s decisive moments, Robert Capa’s grainy pictures of the Normandy landings, Robert Doisneau’s Paris kiss and Ansel Adams’ Yosemite photographs, we have been captivated by black and white. With the onset of colour film and today’s incredible sensor technology, black and white still remains as popular as ever.

In this seminar, Michael Eleftheriades will be exploring what makes a successful B&W photograph and when to shoot in monochrome; he will also be demonstrating the different ways to successfully convert your colour images using Photoshop and Lightroom. Finally, he will look at the best printing practice for maximum impact of your images.

Attendees of all skill levels are welcome but please note that basic knowledge of Photoshop or Lightroom would be beneficial. Slide notes will be sent to all attendees before the seminar. The event will end with a prize draw to win great prizes.
