We are delighted to announce the inaugural meeting of the newly-formed Nikon Owner Essex Group on Wednesday evening, October 12th.
The Nikon Owner Essex Group will be launched by Essex businessman and long-term Nikon Owner subscriber, Andrew Roast on Wednesday 12th October 2011 at Orsett Hall, Prince Charles Avenue, Orsett, Essex, RM16 3HS, with a 6.00 p.m. start.

The venue of many weddings and functions, Orsett Hall sits within 12 acres of landscaped gardens in the beautiful Essex countryside. Originally a 17th century Grade 2 listed building set in 12 acres of parkland, and the centre of the Orsett Hall agricultural estate, it was owned by the Wingfield-Baker family until the end of the 19th century. The estate was passed over at this time to the Whitmore family as a debt of honour – the legend has it that it was won in a game of cards. The house was destroyed by fire in May 2007 and rebuilt in the same style and on the same footprint as the original building in 2009.
Orsett Hall has been chosen as a venue for this launch by Andrew Roast because of its setting and accessibility across the County (eight minutes from M25, Junction 30, five minutes from A127 Halfway House Junction, three minutes from A13 Orsett Cock Junction.) There is a bar for those wishing to enjoy a cold beer, a glass of wine, or a soft drink, and a restaurant for anyone who would like to stay a little longer for dinner.
There is a wealth of experienced professional Nikon photographers in Essex, many serious amateurs and many more who just love taking great pictures. Nikon Owner Essex Group will have something for everyone, whatever your abilities.
So please support the launch of this new regional group and come along to their first informal meeting on the 12th October so that everyone can plan ahead a fantastic year of photographic opportunities. You are welcome to bring family members and you can attend no matter where you live in the country.
